First Presbyterian Church in Salida faced the common challenge of an aging, first-generation digital system that no longer provided the clarity needed for their congregation. Lambda AV’s mission was to design a cost-effective solution that offered even coverage and high intelligibility without distracting from the aesthetic of their established sanctuary.
We utilized the latest technology from Danley Sound Labs, featuring the SH-110 2-way loudspeaker. Its wide 110° horizontal coverage allowed us to fill the room effectively, while supplemental Danley Cubes ensured that there wasn’t a “bad seat” in the house. To round out the sound, a THMini subwoofer was flown to provide a seamless low-end throughout the space.
The technical heart of the room was upgraded to an Allen & Heath SQ6 console, paired with a 24-input stage box to clean up on-stage patching. We also replaced their legacy analog FM hearing assistance with a cutting-edge Williams AV WiFi system, allowing congregants to stream audio directly to their smartphones and Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids.
